MINISTRY FEATURES

For 84 years Dallas Theological Seminary (DTS) has maintained its mission to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide. It also provides a curriculum that includes the study of all 66 books of the Bible, along with practical training to enable students to grow spiritually and to share their knowledge with others.
The Fall 2008 semester brought enrollment to 2,050 students who are studying at either the main campus, one of the Seminary's five extension sites, or online. These figures maintain DTS's status as one of the largest nondenominational evangelical seminaries in the world.
With this long-standing evangelical tradition, 157 international students have chosen to study at Dallas Seminary, making up 7.5 percent of the student body. Women make up 27 percent with more than 500 students enrolled, and 406 minority students make up 20 percent of the student population.
"These are encouraging days," Dr. Bailey, president of Dallas Seminary, said. "A new generation of young leaders wants to be prepared for the challenges of ministry in the twenty-first century."
