A new book on Dr Lloyd-Jones by Iain Murray, his official biographer is always something to be looked forward to. This new title is no exception and is a ‘must read‘ for all those interested in ‘the doctor’. However this new book is not another biography but explores new ground in that it looks at three key areas that were important to Dr Lloyd-Jones and which are vital for a clear understanding of what made him tick. Iain begins by looking at the nature of True Preaching, of vital importance to MLJ. The second theme looks at the absolute necessity of a ‘full assurance of salvation’ in Dr Lloyd-Jones teaching. Finally Iain asks whether ‘the doctor’s understanding of the New Testament Church was divisive.

A fascinating read and a book that should be on the shelves of all who are interested in Dr Lloyd-Jones the man and his ministry.
