The words of our biological fathers can uplift us, or wound us deeply. For those of us with father wounds, we usually wrestle with deeply hurtful words or an absence of affirmation. This is why it is essential that we look to our Father for affirmation. Episode 13: God the Father Is Accessible There is something so comforting about the fact that we do not have to wait to commune with God. He is always accessible to us, always ready to listen to us. All we have to do is quiet ourselves and talk to him exactly as we are. He is not too busy, not too important and not too preoccupied to stop and commune with us.Even our best friends and closest family members can’t be there for us the way God can. This is especially true when our fathers were inaccessible or completely absent. Maybe the lesson you took from that was that you had yourself to depend on.
