Team Us

Ted and Ashleigh Slater
The best marriages have a teamwork mentality. Spouses serve each other, support each other, and celebrate each other. They tackle life together, and when one slips, the other gives grace. Husbands and wives can be vulnerable with each other because they know they rise and fall as one.

Do you want a marriage like this? On each episode of the Team Us Podcast, married couple Ted and Ashleigh Slater come alongside you and your spouse as friends and mentors. They talk openly, honestly, and humorously about the betters and the worsts of their marriage, sharing how grace, commitment, cooperation, and lots of laughter have kept them united over the years.

Whether you’re newly married and desire to build a strong foundation, or you’ve been married longer and your relationship needs a little TLC, you’ll gain practical, realistic ideas for strengthening your Team Us.

Faith Over Fear
January 27, 2023 - 24 min
If you love listening to "Team Us," we want to introduce you to another LifeAudio podcast we think you'll enjoy: "Faith Over Fear."   Scripture assures us that God does not want us to live enslaved to fear, weighed down by stress, and overpowered by personal weakness. Christ promised us joy, peace, and inexpressible freedom. He also promised to give us the power to experience each of those supernatural gifts. In this special episode of Faith Over Fear, prolific speaker Max Lucado shares a time when, attempting to carry his ministry in his own strength, the burden became nearly crippling and how he found fresh hope and strength through the Holy Spirit.   If you like what you hear and want to continue listening to more episodes, just search "Faith Over Fear" on your favorite podcast app, or click on any of the links below! We’ve made a lot of stressful decisions together over the years. Some have related to job loss, challenges with our kids, financial pressures, and, most recently, our cross-country move. They’ll help you navigate stressful decisions together as a team!3 Ways to Navigate Stressful Decisions Together 1.    Remember that it’s “us,” not “you and me.”2.    Rather than focus on the stress, dream about the possibilities.3.    Try to come to full agreement before making a big decision. Listen in as we start by sharing why going to church matters. We’ll then give you five reasons church attendance and involvement can help you and your spouse grow closer.5 Reasons Church Can Be Good for Your Marriage1. It provides shared experiences.2.
