During a conversation with our podcast producer Kevin Smith a few weeks ago, he mentioned that we often focus our time, effort, and energy on preparing for Easter and then forget to rest and reflect afterward. As pastors and ministry leaders, it’s easy to feel like we have to keep pressing on after the amens are over on Easter Sunday because the needs never seem to end. However, we must do what Jesus commands us to do: take Sabbath. Today, we’ve got three of our wonderful team members on the podcast—Kevin Smith, Bobby Lewis, and Denis Keith. Each of these guys has spent many years in ministry, and they all have such great advice on why it’s essential to recharge and how to do it best. As you listen today, take some time to reflect on how you can be more disciplined in taking time for Sabbath. From us at 95Network, we pray that you had a wonderful Easter celebration this year. There is so much to be thankful for, the most important of all being Christ’s sacrifice for us so we can spend eternity with Him. Show Notes:…is-bonus-episode/Support the show (

Meet Your Hosts
Dale is a man with a powerful calling to help weary and worn pastors and church leaders.

He has been in ministry for 40 years. In July 2018, he accepted the position as the Executive Director of 95Network, and in September of 2020, he published his first book Stalled: Hope and Help for Pastors Who Thought They'd Be There By Now. His years of ministry have grown a deep love for small and midsize congregations — the backbone of the American church. He believes in the mission of 95Network, not only because it equips small churches to thrive, but also because it connects weary church leaders with friends and partners who care.

Dale and his wife Gina have been married 39 years, have three daughters, two sons- in-law, and two awesome grandchildren!
Caralee graduated with a Communications degree from Clemson University in 2008 and has spent the last 13 years working in content marketing, writing, and editing. As a pastor’s kid who grew up in midsize churches, she’s witnessed the challenges that come with ministry and has a passion for serving those in need and seeing churches succeed. She loves working with the foster parent resource center through her church and leading a community group with her husband.

Caralee currently lives in Greer, SC with her husband, David, and their two kids, Nora and Foster.
