Today’s episode is the beginning of a journey through the season of Advent and an exploration of the work of Walter Brueggemann who connects the movements of the psalms to the rhymes of our spiritual lives in moving us into a deeper relationship with God. In this episode, we define the purpose of advent, as a season of waiting for the revealing of Christ, and the process of our soul’s seasons outlined in Psalm 23. the reality of spiritual seasons: orientation, disorientation, and reorientation will be explained and used as the framework for taking hold of the unshakeable hope of the promised Messiah, Christ, and the present reality of his personhood and presence in every season of our lives.
