Why does someone run an ultra-marathon? How does one's faith help them run ultra-marathons? Today we have Jesse Ellis with me and he discusses how he got into running long distance and ultra-marathon. he has completed more than 30 ultra marathons the past 9 years including a 100 mile run! But how his faith has helped him through some dark days is paramount to who he is. This is a great show as we hear from Jesse Ellis and his extreme running adn his extreme faith.

Pete Rogers resides in Saluda County, SC and is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned a master’s in divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. More than twenty-five years ago, Pete began merging his love for writing with his love of the outdoors.

His stories and photographs have earned more than 60 awards in literary, photographic, and videography competitions. He is also the author of six books.

Jon Goodwin is a devoted husband of more than 25 years to his wife, Jennifer, and a proud father of three grown children. He serves as pastor of Hartland Bible Church, where he has the privilege of shepherding his church family and sharing the hope of the Gospel.
