How do soldiers prepare for battle? How do we prepare for everyday temptations, and struggles? Many of us are walking into the world ill prepared fro what lies ahead. We are mounting our horses, and load up our tooth picks and head into battle.
We prepare for the struggles of life and the forces against us by diving deep into God's word. Reading it for ourselves and inbedding his word into our hearts. In this episode we look at how to study, why we need to study and the benefits of reading God's word and inbedding it into our lives.

Meet Your Hosts
Pete Rogers resides in Saluda County, SC and is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned a master’s in divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. More than twenty-five years ago, Pete began merging his love for writing with his love of the outdoors.
Pete spends many days a year afield enjoying God’s creation while hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. He has traveled to 49 states, as well as numerous Canadian provinces, pursuing his passion in the outdoors. Through these and other experiences, Pete has published more than 1,400 magazine articles and 4,000 photographs in his career. His stories and photographs have earned more than 60 awards in literary, photographic, and videography competitions. He is also the author of six books.
Christian Outdoors Podcast has been awarded “Best Podcast” four years in a row by the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association. His weekly episodes are exciting and uplifting and bring a passion for the outdoors and his Lord and Savior.

Jon Goodwin is a devoted husband of more than 25 years to his wife, Jennifer, and a proud father of three grown children. He serves as pastor of Hartland Bible Church, where he has the privilege of shepherding his church family and sharing the hope of the Gospel.
A lifelong lover of God’s creation, Jon is an avid whitetail deer hunter and outdoorsman. His passion for the outdoors has also led to years of involvement in the outdoor industry, including serving on the CVA Pro Staff team.
