December 2018 Matt Branch's life changed when a freak hunting accident caused him to lose his left leg at the hip.
Matt played football at LSU from 2008-2012, and was on one of the best teams to ever play college football. He was big, strong and loved the outdoors. That all changed with the accident that cost him his leg. Matt shares his story with us of how the accident affected him and how his faith in God was tested and how it is growing.

Pete Rogers resides in Saluda County, SC and is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned a master’s in divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. More than twenty-five years ago, Pete began merging his love for writing with his love of the outdoors.
Pete spends many days a year afield enjoying God’s creation while hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. He has traveled to 49 states, as well as numerous Canadian provinces, pursuing his passion in the outdoors. Through these and other experiences, Pete has published more than 1,400 magazine articles and 4,000 photographs in his career. His stories and photographs have earned more than 60 awards in literary, photographic, and videography competitions. He is also the author of six books.
Christian Outdoors Podcast has been awarded “Best Podcast” four years in a row by the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association. His weekly episodes are exciting and uplifting and bring a passion for the outdoors and his Lord and Savior.

Jon Goodwin is a devoted husband of more than 25 years to his wife, Jennifer, and a proud father of three grown children. He serves as pastor of Hartland Bible Church, where he has the privilege of shepherding his church family and sharing the hope of the Gospel.

His passion for the outdoors has also led to years of involvement in the outdoor industry, including serving on the CVA Pro Staff team.
