Doc Reed has worn many hats in his time as a business owner. From being one of the founders of HUK adn NOMAD hunting and fishing apparel, where he took these brands to more than $50 million in sales in just four years, to to being an auditor for Blue Cross and Blue Shield to his current venture as president of Marsh Hen Mill out of Edisto Island, SC. Marsh Hen Mill is revitalizing the old trade of stone ground grits and heirloom rice in the low country of South Carolina.

Doc shares with us the challenges of the appareal business and his transition into Marsh Hen Mill as President. He goes on to share how his faith has been instrimental to his companies and their success.

Pete Rogers resides in Saluda County, SC and is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned a master’s in divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. More than twenty-five years ago, Pete began merging his love for writing with his love of the outdoors.
Pete Rogers spends many days a year afield enjoying God’s creation while hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. He has traveled to 49 states, as well as numerous Canadian provinces, pursuing his passion in the outdoors. Taking these and other experiences, Pete has published more than 1,400 magazine articles and 4,000 photographs in his career. His stories and photographs have earned more than 60 awards in literary, photographic, and videography competitions. He is also the author of six books.
In October 2019, he founded and launched the award-winning Christian Outdoors Podcast, where he uses this program to merge his passion for Christ with his passion for the outdoors. Christian Outdoors Podcast has been awarded “Best Podcast” four years in a row from the South Carolina Outdoor Press Association. His weekly episodes are exciting and uplifting and bring a passion for the outdoors and his Lord and Savior. Currently, Christian Outdoors has more than 14 million downloads and is growing.
