Today's guest is John David Taylor III, owner of Covey Point Outfitters in Goshen, Alabama. John David is a lifelong outdoorsman whose passion for hunting started as soon as he was old enough to carry a shotgun. Instead of waiting years to chase his dream, he jumped right in after graduating high school in 2021 and founded Covey Point Outfitters. Since then, he's been building a destination where hunters from across the country can experience first-class quail, pheasant, hog, deer, and other guided hunts while enjoying genuine Southern hospitality.
For John David, it's about much more than the hunt. He's passionate about creating lasting memories, building meaningful relationships with every guest who comes through the lodge, and sharing his faith by giving God the glory for every opportunity. At a young age, he's already turned a lifelong passion into a thriving family business, and today he's living out the dream he always knew was waiting for him in the outdoors.

Pete spends many days a year afield enjoying God’s creation while hunting, fishing, hiking, or camping. He has traveled to 49 states, as well as numerous Canadian provinces, pursuing his passion in the outdoors. Through these and other experiences, Pete has published more than 1,400 magazine articles and 4,000 photographs in his career. His stories and photographs have earned more than 60 awards in literary, photographic, and videography competitions. He is also the author of six books.
