Saddle hunting seems to be all the rage nowadays. So I brought on one of the few people I know personally who uses one to get their perspective on why he transitioned from a conventional treestand to a saddle.

Dr. Philip Hunt is a dentist and an avid deer hunter and fly fisherman. He enjoys hunting out of a saddle and explains to us how it works and why he chooses it over a traditional stand.

Pete Rogers resides in Saluda County, SC and is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and earned a master’s in divinity degree from Erskine Theological Seminary before being ordained. More than twenty-five years ago, Pete began merging his love for writing with his love of the outdoors.
