For some individuals, physical and emotional needs are so severe they demand hospitalization. For others, counseling or even encouragement through the local church can meet those needs. In our first segment, the late Dr. Frank Minirth and host Don Hawkins explore four levels of care.
The late Robert Crummie became friends with Encouragement for you host Don Hawkins while Robert served as president of Carver Bible College and Don was president of Southeastern Bible College. In this segment Robert, who lost his wife to cancer, and Don talk about living with hard times.

Don is a veteran of Christian live call-in programs. He was the original Host and Executive Producer of the Minirth-Meier Clinic, a pioneering broadcast combining Christian counseling in a live call-in setting. He also served 8 years as co-host and producer of the Back to the Bible radio broadcast, and hosted his own live weekday call-in program Life Perspectives for over 20 years.
Don has authored or co-authored over 20 books, including Never Give Up, Master Discipleship Today, How to Beat Burnout, Leadership Under Fire and Friends in Deed.
