Jesus said if we try to save our lives—if we cling to our agendas and plans—we’ll lose it. We can’t fight for control and experience all God has for us. Surrendering to God’s call to follow Him, to yield our lives to Him, can feel frightening at the moment, but it’s the only way to experience the joy, peace, and soul-deep fulfillment Christ offers.
