The Pirate seaport town of Port Royal was once known as ‘the wickedest city on earth.’ On the morning of June 7th, 1692, this lively Buccaneer haven was struck by catastrophe. In the space of a few violent minutes, a massive earthquake, followed by tidal waves, reduced the wealthiest English city in the Americas to ruin.
