A Prayer for Living Out our Faith
“This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith" (1 Timothy 1:18-19).
We may not know why bad things happen to us, but it's important to stay true to our faith through it all. We must trust that the Lord has his reasons for allowing things to happen to us. Sometimes, God has a lesson to teach us or to teach others through us. Regardless of his reasons, we can always rest in the knowledge that the Lord is in control.
