A Prayer for Unity by Nicolet Bell

When did you last pray for unity?Not just wish for it. Actually pray for it.Jesus did. Repeatedly. And He tied it directly to people coming to know Him.Today's episode is a challenge for all of us to stop dismissing unity as an impossible goal and start asking God boldly for it — in the hard places, with the hard people.I think it'll challenge you too.

Reference: John 17:21

Prayer: Father, help us to value unity in the way that Jesus did. When disunity seems to be winning the day, may we be comforted that nothing is too hard for you. You are not a God of chaos, but of peace. Help us to seek unity in our homes, our communities, our churches, our workplaces, and to pray bold prayers of unity for the world like Jesus did. Mainly, I want to be unified with you. I want to become more and more like you, sharing in your fellowship which I’ve been invited into. I thank you for this great gift. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
