A Prayer to Finish
In a culture that often prizes speed and instant results, what if we chose to slow down, stay focused, and trust God to bring His work in us to completion.
In today's prayer by Nicolet Bell,we look at the story of Solomon completing the temple — a dream that began in the heart of his father, King David. Though David longed to build a dwelling place for God, the Lord chose Solomon to carry out the task. Instead of being resentful, David prepared his son for success by gathering materials, providing detailed plans, and encouraging him to serve God with an undivided heart.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the example of Solomon to show us what hard work and perseverance looks like. His commitment to begin and finish a task, his assignment from you is an incredible witness to us. Help us to stay focused on the tasks you have given us. Guard us from distractions and sluggishness. I am confident that you who began a good work in me will carry it out to completion.
