9 College Students Rescued After Getting Lost on Kentucky Hiking Trail at Night

Nine college students were rescued after getting lost in Kentucky's Red River Gorge while hiking near the dangerous Indian Staircase trail to watch the sunset. With darkness falling, little water, and steep cliffs nearby, the students called 911, and the Wolfe County Search & Rescue Team guided them down the mountain in a dramatic overnight rescue that ended with everyone safely home.
