There is a stigma surrounding the term "mental illness" that makes people reluctant to admit that they or someone they love is suffering. Kay Warren shatters the silence by sharing her own deeply personal story. She talks about the powerful role of prayer (as well as its limitations) in supporting loved ones with mental illness, and offers hope to those whose faith has been shaken by profound loss.

Because May is Mental Illness Awareness Month, we wanted to revisit this conversation with Kay and point you to some of her resources to support families impacted by mental illness at www.kaywarren.com.

NOTE: This episode includes discussion about severe depression and suicide
