On this episode, we continue our series doing case studies on retirees from specific backgrounds. After nearly twenty years of retirement planning helping thousands of people retire, we have noticed patterns regarding the way retirement affects someone based on characteristics of their job, vocation or background. In this podcast, we do a case study on the business owner. Business owners have special characteristics that can make them powerful influencers in retirement. But, oftentimes, they find too much of their identity in work and have a hard time letting go.

While Ben loves to work with retirees, his passion extends far beyond the numbers. This passion led to the publishing of his first book, Repurposed: The Untold Story of Retirement in America in 2017 as well as co-founding Retire Repurposed in 2019.
