Hello again and thank you for joining us on today’s podcast!

In this episode, Meredith will be discussing some great tips on how to help you avoid dehydration which seems like something easy to do (drink water!) but in reality, many people forget to take in enough liquids during the day which easily leads to feeling worn out and in some cases require a hospital visit.

Drinking liquids is something we do all the time but how much thought have you really put into the kind of fluids you’re taking in and how often? These are two crucial factors to consider when you’re thinking about your overall hydration health.

It’s no secret that the body needs water to survive and making sure we stay on top of the right amounts with the right kind of fluids is important.

In This Episode You Will Learn:

1). Why dehydration can be a problem for more people than we think no matter what age you are and how it can also lead to other health problems if not taken seriously. It can be the number one reason why seniors end up in the emergency room as well.

2). Why it’s so easy to assume that we are taking in enough water during our day when in reality we are probably not taking as much as we should be.

3). When are the ideal times to take water breaks during your exercising sessions and how to remember to take them!

4). How keeping a thermos or water jug filled with ice cold water around you as much as possible will help you take in more water during the day. There’s nothing better than a nice cold sip of water throughout your day!

5). Why dehydration can still occur if you exercise regularly in the water or during water workouts even if you don’t feel thirsty. it’s still very important to manage your water intake during these times as well.

6). Why it’s a good idea to set reminders about drinking water throughout the day either on a calendar, using your phone or writing small notes around the house to help you. Dehydration can be avoided if we take steps necessary to be more aware of our hydration levels.

We hope this episode was helpful to you and you found some value in learning more about ways to remember to stay hydrated from day to day to keep your body running healthy.
