It’s good to want to grow, to be a better person. But Jesus calls us to a specific kind of growth. Our spiritual growth is not about attaining perfection, but surrendering to and being led by our perfect Savior.

In this episode, Chara unpacks the damage that the mentality “God helps those who help themselves” can have on a Christian’s life, and gives us a better framework for thinking about our sanctification without chasing perfection.
