Today's Bible Verse: "One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple." — Psalm 27:4

Psalm 27:4 reveals the deepest desire of David's heart. Despite facing enemies, uncertainty, and countless responsibilities as king, he identified one pursuit above all others—to be in the presence of God. More than success, safety, or victory, David longed to know the Lord and delight in Him.

Life has a way of shifting our priorities. Careers, family responsibilities, financial pressures, and endless distractions can slowly take center stage. While many of these things are important, they can quietly crowd out the time and attention we once gave to God. Before we realize it, our schedules reveal priorities that our hearts never intended.
