Today's Bible Verse: "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come." — John 16:13

John 16:13 is one of Jesus' most encouraging promises about the Holy Spirit. As He prepared His disciples for His departure, Jesus assured them they would not be left to navigate life and faith on their own. God would send the Holy Spirit—the Spirit of truth—to lead, teach, and guide them.

Being guided by the Holy Spirit doesn't mean we'll always receive immediate answers or experience dramatic moments of direction. More often, His guidance comes as He transforms our minds through Scripture, convicts us when we stray, gives us peace as we follow God's will, and produces Christlike character in our lives.
