Today's Bible Verse:"Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, 'Are you for us or for our enemies?' 'Neither,' he replied, 'but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.' Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, 'What message does my Lord have for his servant?'" — Joshua 5:13–14

What do you do when you can't see what comes next? Joshua 5:13–14 reminds us that before Joshua faced the battle of Jericho, he encountered the commander of the Lord's army and was reminded that the battle ultimately belonged to God. When we face uncertainty, difficult decisions, or challenges that seem impossible, we can stop trying to control the outcome and instead focus on who God is, listen for His direction, and trust Him to lead the way.
