Today’s Bible Verse: “Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the entrance.” — John 20:1

John 20:1 begins in darkness—literally and emotionally. Mary Magdalene comes to the tomb grieving, expecting death to have the final word. Instead, she finds the stone rolled away. Before she fully understands it, everything has already changed.
