Sacred Work in Ordinary Moments

It’s easy to believe that work only counts if it’s visible, titled, or paid. But Scripture tells us differently. God values every act of faithfulness, whether seen by many or unnoticed by all. From folding laundry to writing an encouraging note, every task done with a heart of worship is sacred in His sight.

In this evening prayer and devotional, Rachael Adams, host of The Love Offering, reminds us that God is not impressed by platforms—He is moved by faithfulness. Just as He used Ruth’s loyalty, Mary’s humility, and Nehemiah’s perseverance, He delights in our small, unseen offerings. When we reframe our daily work as worship, we discover that nothing is wasted. Every act becomes holy when surrendered to Him.

🙏 Your Nightly Prayer

Lord,
Thank You for the meaningful work You’ve placed in my hands, even when it feels ordinary or unnoticed. Teach me to serve with all my heart, remembering that I’m working for You, not for human approval. Forgive me for the times I’ve looked for recognition instead of resting in Your delight. Help me to see my everyday tasks as sacred worship and to trust that You value every act of obedience. Renew my purpose tonight, and remind me that my labor in You is never in vain.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
