How do we address the issue of Suicide? We all know what it is in life to struggle. To have darkness come into our lives because of circumstances created by us or others. In our rational moments we can identify this darkness as temporary and find a way to move out of the darkness and into the light. But what do we do when we can't? When the Darkness takes hold and moves us to a point of Despair? What do we do when we think that ending our life is the only way out and the best option for those around us?

Suicide has become a pandemic in our culture that must be addressed. In spite of the FEELINGS of despair there is HOPE and HELP if we know where to look. This week, on the March or Die Show, I take some time to confront this topic in an attempt to put some context around the issue of Suicide while providing some practical steps to those who have considered or are considering self-harm. This episode is not exhaustive but can serve as a starting point for those who are struggling right now.

Please, if you are putting yourself in danger, get help IMMEDIATELY. Call the National Suicide Hotline at 800-273-TALK (8255). For those who have not YET found themselves in a place of physical danger but who allow thoughts of self-harm to pervade their thoughts, use this episode as a place to begin getting the help that you need.
