Catherine Segars is an award-winning actress and playwright––––turned stay-at-home-mom––––turned author, speaker, podcaster, blogger, and motherhood apologist. This homeschooling mama of five is the host of CHRISTIAN PARENT/CRAZY WORLD, a Life Audio podcast about being a godly parent in an ungodly world, which was named the 2022 Best Kids and Family Podcast by Spark Media . She is author of "Five Myths About Motherhood That Make You Feel Mere, and Why They're Wrong," which delves into critical cultural issues that affect families and marginalize mothers. She is a contributing writer for Crosswalk and iBelieve, where her articles reach tens of thousands of readers every month, and she has been published by Focus on the family, Christian Headlines, inCourage, and Arise Daily. Catherine has a B.A. and an M.A. in Communications and is earning an M.A. in Christian Apologetics to help parents navigate through dangerous secular landmines and establish a sound Biblical foundation for their kids.

In this episode we discuss how wrestling with God allows us to model the Christian walk to our kids. We also discuss the redemptive power of God, and how we can trust him with our dreams, desires, and born/unborn children.

Meet Your Host

Kathryn Calibeo is a full-time mom to two busy boys, and works part-time as a Sales Representative for a technology solutions company. Kathryn has earned her Bachelor's degree in Professional Writing with an emphasis on editing and publishing from Michigan State University. After graduating, she worked as an intern with a Christian organization at Michigan State University, where she had the privilege of overseeing the freshmen and Greek Life bible studies, weekly gatherings, retreats, and discipleship programs.

Kathryn now lives in Michigan with her husband of 6 years, their two boys, and their adopted Yorkie-Poo. Kathryn currently attends church at Woodside Bible Church, where she has served on the women’s writing team and has led various small groups. Kathryn has been podcasting since 2018 and currently serves on the board for Sparkle, a women's ministry organization, where the podcast Sparkle Speak was born!
