After spending years in a successful marketing and communications career, Evan McBroom felt God calling him to start something new. In 2003, he founded Fishhook, a communications organization for churches. He eventually stepped away from Fishhook so that others could take charge and lead the organization, and at the time, he didn’t think he had the energy for another startup. But, of course, God had other plans. In the fall of 2021, Evan and his wife knew that the Lord was calling them to establish a new ministry. So, at the beginning of this year, he launched Teamness—an organization designed to help host and facilitate leadership retreats for pastors and their teams. During today’s conversation, we’ll talk to Evan about how to strengthen, encourage, and focus your church ministry team so you can accomplish your mission with joy, passion, and longevity. We’ll also talk about Teamness and opportunities that the organization can give you and your team. Do you think your group could benefit from a team-building retreat? If so, this is a great podcast for you. Show Notes: the show (

Meet Your Hosts
Dale is a man with a powerful calling to help weary and worn pastors and church leaders.

He has been in ministry for 40 years. In July 2018, he accepted the position as the Executive Director of 95Network, and in September of 2020, he published his first book Stalled: Hope and Help for Pastors Who Thought They'd Be There By Now. His years of ministry have grown a deep love for small and midsize congregations — the backbone of the American church. He believes in the mission of 95Network, not only because it equips small churches to thrive, but also because it connects weary church leaders with friends and partners who care.

Dale and his wife Gina have been married 39 years, have three daughters, two sons- in-law, and two awesome grandchildren!
Caralee graduated with a Communications degree from Clemson University in 2008 and has spent the last 13 years working in content marketing, writing, and editing. As a pastor’s kid who grew up in midsize churches, she’s witnessed the challenges that come with ministry and has a passion for serving those in need and seeing churches succeed. She loves working with the foster parent resource center through her church and leading a community group with her husband.

Caralee currently lives in Greer, SC with her husband, David, and their two kids, Nora and Foster.
